History of John Scott Meeting House
The John Scott Meeting House is named after Professor John Scott, the second of only three Vice-Chancellor's at La Trobe University. Professor Scott was a renowned mathematician who was instrumental in developing La Trobe University's reputation for academic excellence, accessible education and a personal and friendly community.

Built in 1993, the John Scott Meeting House has been providing meeting and event facilities to the University, local business communities, international scholars and the general public. The restaurant is an established meeting place for University academics and management staff and is used extensively for business meetings, office functions and friendly gatherings.
