| Surrounded by natural parklands, lakes and birdlife, the John Scott Meeting House is nestled within the expansive 400 acres of landscaped grounds at La Trobe University in Bundoora. It has excellent parking facilities, and is thirty minutes by car, tram or bus from central Melbourne.
Rodney and Marie Adams, of Adams of North Riding, have been the caterers at the John Scott Meeting House since 1994. This modern, air conditioned, state-of-the-art building is suitable for business seminars, conferences and trade shows, as well as weddings, art exhibitions, sports presentation nights, and other events.
The John Scott Meeting House is suitable for groups of 20 to 250 guests. It comprises of four private meeting rooms, plus one main dining room with seating for 200 and a grand meeting chamber with seating for 150, all joined with a central foyer.
The John Scott Meeting House is available seven days a week with modern technical facilities available, including video conferencing. La Trobe University academics can also be approached to act as guest speakers if required for your particular function.
The costs are extremely competitive. Accommodation can also be arranged on campus during Semester breaks at reasonable rates or elsewhere in the vicinity with transport hook-ups.
It is located next to the Melbourne Wildlife Sanctuary which can add another dimension to your experience with guided information tours where you can see animals like sugar gliders living naturally in an open range environment.
